The story of Djidi Djidi Retreat began with a serendipitous discovery. After spending 33 incredible years immersed in the vibrant, red-dirt culture of Broome, we found ourselves in Bridgetown for a two-week house-sitting stint in August 2025. We expected a quiet break; instead, we fell completely in love. The rolling green hills, the morning mist over the water, and the welcoming community of the Blackwood Valley captured our hearts. By the time our two weeks were up, we knew we weren't just visiting—we were home.

Our background is rooted deeply in the Australian tourism and hospitality industry. In Broome, we spent seven rewarding years operating a highly-rated boutique B&B, where we learned that true hospitality is found in the details. We also founded Salty Plum Social, a tour company dedicated to uncovering hidden stories and connecting visitors with authentic local culture.

Now, we are bringing that same passion for storytelling and high-end service to the South West through Codling Moth Tours and Experiences and our newest venture, Djidi Djidi Retreat. Our vision was to create a premier boutique accommodation experience that blends modern, industrial-chic design with the raw, natural beauty of the Blackwood River.

As your hosts, we are dedicated to providing more than just a room; we offer a gateway to the region’s finest offerings. Whether it is arranging a private dining event featuring local marron, providing seamless on-site EV charging, or sharing our favorite "secret" spots for a sunset walk, we are here to ensure your stay is seamless and memorable. We have meticulously designed every corner of this retreat to reflect the peaceful, refined lifestyle that drew us to Bridgetown. We are incredibly excited to welcome our first guests this August and look forward to sharing this sanctuary with you.
