Meet Your Hosts

After 33 years immersed in the vibrant culture of Broome, we never expected a simple two-week house-sitting stint in August 2025 to change our lives so completely. Yet, the rolling hills and mist-veiled mornings of Bridgetown captured our hearts instantly. By the end of those fourteen days, we knew we had found our new home in the Blackwood Valley.

Our journey in hospitality spans decades. In Broome, we spent seven wonderful years operating a boutique B&B and founded Salty Plum Social, where we specialized in sharing the hidden stories and unique flavors of the Kimberley. That passion for regional storytelling continues here in the South West through our new venture, Codling Moth Tours and Experiences.

At Djidi Djidi Retreat, we’ve combined our extensive tourism background with a deep respect for the local landscape. We created this space to offer guests more than just a place to stay; we want to provide a gateway to the authentic Bridgetown experience. Whether it’s arranging a private marron dinner or sharing our favorite local "secret" spots, we are dedicated to high-end, personalized service. We are incredibly excited to welcome our very first guests this August and share the refined, peaceful magic of life on the Blackwood River.
